New Delhi: Uma Bharti has resigned from the Bharatiya Janshakti Party, the political outfit that she founded after being expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Sources say the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has promised her that she will be accommodated in the BJP.

Uma was expelled from the BJP in 2005 after she protested the appointment of Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
