President Pranab Mukherjee's son Abhijit Mukherjee has retained the Jangipur seat for the Congress, though winning by a margin of only 8,315 votes.

During the polling, 71 per cent of total 1.95 crore voters sealed the fate of 253 contestants, including 19 women for the 13 seats.

The counting would commence at 8 am and it would be held at the centres set up across 32 locations in the state.

"There is no question of the NCP joining the NDA. We shall not require them," Gopinath Munde said.
