Apple iPad Pro With Mini-LED Display May Launch Next Month, Bigger iPad Mini Also Coming?
The new iPad Pro models are expected to have a similar design to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models released last year, but will have better processors that are "on par" with the company's critically acclaimed M1 chip.

Apple is reported to be introducing several updates to its iPad line this year, including a mini-LED display on the iPad Pro, a new iPad Mini with a larger display (iPad Mini Pro), and more. Now, a report in Bloomberg has hinted that the Cupertino-based giant could be launching new iPads as soon as in April. This comes after reports of an Apple event being held on March 23 surfaced earlier this month.

The new iPad Pro models are expected to have a similar design to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models released last year, but will have better processors that are ?on par? with the company?s critically acclaimed M1 silicon chip, the Bloomberg report said. According to the publication, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro could come with a mini-LED display, which should offer a higher contrast ratio and be less susceptible to burn-in than OLED displays. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that the first Apple product to come with a mini-LED display will be the iPad Pro 12.9-inch variant.

In a rather surprising development, the Bloomberg report also said that Apple may go back to a Thunderbolt port on the iPad Pro, which would be able to transfer data faster than a USB type-C port.

Apart from the iPad Pro, there are reports about a larger iPad Mini that may come with a larger screen that the 7.9-inch one on the iPad Mini. Apple had last refreshed the iPad Mini in 2019.
