Fake Bank Employees: ICICI Bank Shares Tips to AVOID These Scams
Bank scams are able to dupe people into sharing personal details that can directly help scammers steal money.

Scams have become well planned and executed in such a professional way that it is easy to see how people get duped into sharing confidential information. Scammers pretend to call as CBI officers, bank employees and even customs officers.

And goes without saying that people of this ilk aren’t going to call you out of the blue and seek your personal details, unless they have some agenda. That agenda is scamming you of money or even getting details that help them withdraw money from your bank account.

Now, ICICI Bank is making sure that none of its customers fall for the dreaded bank employee call where they are warned about some issue with their bank account which is freezed in most cases.

Warning For ICICI Bank Customers About Scam Calls

– ICICI Bank will never ask for your online account details like one time password (OTP), card number (debit or credit) and the three digit CVV number.

– Bank employees will never call you asking for personal details, they already have all the data via the KYC process.

– Bank will never call its customers asking them to transfer money to a different account. If you get calls with a similar request, disconnect right away.

– Scammers will try to scare you with details like your bank account has been freezed, there is some danger with your bank account etc. Never act on such information and share details with callers.

But what happens if you mistakenly end up sharing details and lose your hard earned money? ICICI Bank mailer says contact the National Cyber Crime via their helpline number 1930. You might also get messages from random WhatsApp contacts claiming to be part of your bank. Never share or entertain queries from such unknown senders.
