New Delhi: Gmail users have been reportedly hit by what seems like a bug in its 'auto-complete' feature that is sending e-mails to the wrong contacts.
The auto-complete feature ideally inserts names of people in the 'To' field whom the user has frequently e-mailed. However, the bug seems to be prioritising contacts that are less frequently used.
New York City venture capitalist Fred Wilson posted about the problem, writing that he got a bunch of emails yesterday that were clearly not meant for him, but people are complaining about it all over Twitter as well, Business Insider reported.
Although not all the Gmail users have found this happening to them, but it isn't an isolated problem either.
Meanwhile, Google acknowledged the issue via its Twitter post and said that it is investigating the issue. It has asked users to stay tuned till they solve the problem.
