New Delhi: Stepping up the war against cyberattacks, Microsoft has announced an advanced Windows 10 Defender program for enterprise users that alerts about malicious attacks so users could take necessary action before things go beyond repair.

The Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection program is an advanced version of the existing Windows Defender free anti-malware software by Microsoft but offers more capabilities to protect end users.

The optional Windows 10 enterprise service helps users detect, investigate, and respond to attacks. It also comes with a new post-breach layer of protection and help detect even those threats that have made it past other defenses.

The program allows enterprises to investigate the breach across endpoints and offer response recommendations so that the network team does not need to invest much time analysing the activity logs to check for an issue.

The Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection program for enterprises will be broadly available later this year.
