New Delhi: OnePlus has introduced a new exchange program that allows potential customers to upgrade to a new OnePlus smartphone in exchange for their old phone.
In collaboration with ReGlobe, an enterprise for product management, the company is offering exchange or buyback programs under which it will offer OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, or OnePlus X.
All that one needs to avail the offer is get the value of their older device calculated at the ReGlobe page or register on the OnePlus page to check if their old smartphone features in the list to proceed with the registration process for a OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X.
There are two types of exchange schemes available: Buy first, sell later or sell first, buy next. Under the first scheme, customers will receive the invite code for the new OnePlus smartphone of choice and have the option to schedule a pick-up of the older device for a future date.
Under the second exchange scheme, customers have the choice to sell their older device first and after the sale transaction is complete, ReGlobe will send an invite to buy a OnePlus smartphone of their choice along with an Amazon Gift Coupon that matches the older device’s value.
If a customer wants to purchase the OnePlus One, there is no invite needed for the device and one could purchase it directly.
The free insurance ( only for OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X) can be availed only if the buyback or exchange price of the old device amounts to Rs 5,000 and above.
The exchange scheme is valid till December 31, 2015 and is available in 17 Indian cities including- Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
