We asked you to rate the new Google logo and here's the final score
With this score tech giant's chances of securing a seat at a top-notch DU college would be slimmer than BlackBerry regaining the smartphone crown.

From the good, to the bad, to the ugly, the new Google logo has attracted a wide range of reactions. So we set out measuring how people rated the new Google logo. Our poll got over a thousand responses and the results are here.

Google managed an average looking mean score of 6.1 (the median is 6.8) among a total of 1,088 responses.

How good a score is depends on what you can achieve with that. If, hypothetically, Google were to seek admission to a top college at Delhi University, with a score of 61% the tech giant's chances of securing a seat would be slimmer than BlackBerry regaining the smartphone crown.

The new Google logo is the tech giant's sixth since its founding in 1998.

The revamped logo, that was also displayed as a Google Doodle on its homepage, spells 'Google' in a sans-serif typeface, similar to the one being used by Google's newly created holding company, Alphabet. Along with the new logo Google also unveiled a new typeface called "Product Sans" to name different Google products in their logos. The new typeface is meant to resemble the simple printing in a school book.

Google's logo refresh is also to better suit mobile devices that are supplanting desktop computers when it comes to modern Internet lifestyles.

What's your reaction?
