Mom-to-be Devoleena Bhattacharjee has indulged in the Durga Puja festivities. The television actress is a true-blue Bengali and her latest Instagram post stands as clear proof. On the occasion of Maha Ashtami, she dropped a set of pictures on Instagram, wishing her fans joy, prosperity and peace. The photos capture Devoleena Bhattacharjee draped in a white and red bordered saree, representing her culture. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actress completed her traditional look with golden jewellery.
The first frame showcases her holding an earthen lamp. In the next black-and-white click, Devoleena Bhattacharjee poses with an incense burner, commonly known as dhunachi in Bengal. She flaunts her baby bump in the final snap, smiling beamingly. Along with the post, Devoleena Bhattacharjee penned a heartwarming note that read, “May the abundant blessings of Maa Durga bring peace, joy and prosperity to your life. Hearty wishes of Durga Puja to you and your family. Happy Ashtami.”
Reactions were quick to appear in the comments section. “Sundori (Beautiful)” gushed Maitree actress Ishita Ganguly. Bigg Boss 13 fame Dalljiet Kaur wrote, “God bless you, my love.” Fans also wished Devoleena Bhattacharjee on the auspicious occasion. Many of them dropped red heart emojis.
Previously, Devoleena Bhattacharjee recalled her childhood days when she used to celebrate Durga Puja with her family. Pandal hopping and making arrangements for the puja ceremony were also on her list. “Durga Puja has always been such a special time for me. I have so many memories of waking up early, heading to the pandals with my family, and soaking in the festive atmosphere. As a child, I used to love helping with the puja arrangements, and it always made me feel close to Maa Durga,” she revealed, as quoted by ETimes.
Back in August, Devoleena Bhattacharjee announced that she was expecting her first child with her husband Shanwaz Shaikh. She uploaded a series of pictures on Instagram documenting a traditional “Panchamrit” ritual. The carousel featured Devoleena decked up in a green saree sharing the same frame with her partner and other family members. “Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life,” read her caption.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Shanwaz Shaikh got married in 2022. Work-wise, Devoleena recently exited the show Chhati Maiyya Ki Betiya due to her pregnancy.
