The scorching heat was unbearable in majority parts of India this year. There was a surge in heatwave cases, and many died due to heatstroke. Amid this scenario, a case of a fight between a husband and wife has come to light. The wife had asked her husband to install a cooler in the room, which the husband promised to get her as soon as he got his salary. This left the wife angry and she went to her maternal house. A family counselling centre is set up every Saturday and Sunday in Agra Police Line. A unique case was registered at the centre where a woman fought with her husband after he did not buy a cooler during the scorching heat. The centre made attempts to intervene and resolve the issue. It was found out that the husband was waiting for his salary to buy the cooler. The wife wanted it immediately due to the rising temperatures. This led to an argument between the two and the wife went to her parents’ home.
When the dispute could not be resolved, the matter reached the police counselling centre. They were counselled by Dr Satish Khirwar, who shared a few details about the incident. As per the information, the young man is from Mantola and got married to a woman from Sadar Bazaar in 2020. After two months of their marriage, their cooler broke down. The wife asked the husband to install a new cooler. The husband claimed that he did not have enough money to buy a new cooler and asked his wife to wait till he received his salary. After hearing this, the wife got angry and got into a heated argument with her husband. She then left for her parents’ house.
The husband revealed that he was going to buy the cooler in the first week of July for his wife. After he left for his office, the wife locked the house and went to her maternal home. Now, after much counselling, the husband has been asked to install the cooler at home.
