Graduation day is supposed to be one of the happiest days in a person’s life. It marks the end of significant years of hard work, and learning and the beginning of a new chapter. However, for a girl named Sam, graduating from nursing school was not a very happy moment till something surprising happened. Her mother wasn’t there to share the moment with her. However, her sisters understood her pain and did something extra special to make her happier. To bring a smile to her face and help her feel the joy that was missing, they planned a surprise that they hoped would make her graduation day better, even in the absence of their mother.
In the now-viral video of the sister, we can see one of them standing facing the camera while the other one speaks. “Ok Sam, so we know that graduating without mom has been probably one of the hardest thing to go through," one of her sisters says.
“Are you ready for your surprise? Open your eyes," she asks.
As soon as Sam opens her eyes and turns sideways, she finds out it is a little puppy! Her joy and emotions know no bounds and she looks visibly emotional looking at her gift. Overwhelmed with emotion, she cries and sits on the floor.
Eventually, her sister also sits down with her and hands over the puppy to her. Sam holds it in her arms, still visibly emotional. “Is he not the cutest? It’s a boy. You are a mommy," Sam’s sister adds.
The video ends with Sam hugging the puppy with tears of joy.

The video quickly garnered thousands of views and Sam’s reaction has resonated with many. People have flocked to the comment section to share their own stories of how they received their pets. “I got a dog as a gift when I was adopted. Best brother/wingman ever. He passed at the age of 17. Never once considered him my pet but my best friend who forced me to do my homework," shared a user.
“A person’s attitude towards animals tells me everything I need to know about them," said another one.
