A surprising story about toilet etiquette has recently gone viral on Reddit. As we all know, everyone needs to be mindful of proper toilet etiquette which includes keeping the bathroom clean, flushing properly, avoiding water spillage and disposing of toilet paper in the dustbin. However, a recent revelation about a roommate’s unusual bathroom habits has sparked a significant debate on social media about whether such matters should be shared publicly or not.
On Reddit, a user posted in the @r/badroommates group and shared about her roommate’s strange habit of using an excessive amount of toilet paper. The girl explained that her roommate came about a month ago and shifted into her room. She came for a short period. One day, she started insisting her roommate go shopping and after returning from shopping the girl bought six packs of toilet paper which had nine rolls.
She bought several packs of toilet paper and kept them in the bathroom. The girl added that her roommate finished 3 packs of toilet paper in just 1 week. She used to use about 25 toilet rolls by quickly filling the dustbin. This excessive use even caused their sewage system to clog, something that had not happened in several years. The girl along with this post, shared a photo of the toilet paper and asked the Reddit community if anyone had ever faced such a situation before.
However, her post went viral and people expressed their bafflement in the comments section. Many people answered logically to this situation, claiming that the girl might have obsessive-compulsive disorder, where a person becomes obsessed with cleanliness which can reach to extreme level sometimes. Others shared that they knew people with similar habits in their households as well.
This incident has opened up a debate among the public on social media about what is considered appropriate to share about one’s roommate and the importance of understanding and respecting people’s privacy and also adapting to new situations.
