Haryana Pharma Company Gifts Cars To 15 Employees As Diwali Gift, Calls Them ‘Celebrities’
The company, Mits Healthcare, had gifted 12 cars to employees last year before Diwali too.

A week before Diwali, the owner of a pharmaceutical company in Panchkula, Haryana, has gifted his staff 15 cars. These employees were given the precious gifts ahead of Diwali for their outstanding performance. Director and owner of Mits Healthcare, MK Bhatia called these employees as the finest performers and “celebrities” for their hard work and dedication.

This gesture of gratitude comes after his memorable gift of 12 cars to his employees last year, which made headlines.

“We don’t call them ‘employees,’ we call them our celebrities, our rockstars. They are our family,” Bhatia was quoted as saying by ANI, adding that the company functions “a little differently”.

“We mostly hire freshers and train them. We then promote the best-performing members among them up to vice-presidents of their respective teams. Depending on their work, they are then promoted to become the presidents and directors of the teams before providing them with the cars,” Bhatia explained the company’s reward and recognition culture for employees.

Just four months ago, all 15 of the employees who received cars this year were promoted as directors. “We want to gift 50 cars next year,” Bhatia claimed.

The objective is to motivate young professionals to improve their performance, he clarified. The pharma company owner also hoped that the employees would grow with the company.

Bhatia’s personal experience served as the impetus for the idea of giving cars as a means of enhancing staff morale. He further said that he acquired his first car after experiencing success as an entrepreneur because he thought people would take him more seriously if he showed up in his vehicle.

“My confidence level also spiked. That’s the same logic I applied (with my employees),” he clarified. Some of the young professionals changed their lifestyles after they started using the cars that were given to them; at first, they didn’t know how to drive, but they soon picked it up.

In October, a Chennai-based company gifted its staff up to 28 cars and 29 bikes as a Diwali gifts. According to an official, the staff members received a range of brand-new vehicles from Hyundai, Tata, Maruti Suzuki, and Mercedes Benz as a thanks giving gesture for their diligence and hard work.
