A YouTuber from Haryana has been facing backlash on social media after he objectified Chinese women in the titles and thumbnails of his videos. Nikhil Kanwal, who shared vlogs from his time in China, used thumbnails featuring various Chinese women with him accompanied by misleading and provocative captions. His content has sparked outrage online, with many calling for his account to be suspended.
“Indians- why does everyone see us as a creep. Meanwhile also Indians,” wrote an individual while quoting a screenshot of one of the thumbnails that Kanwal shared.

The videos shared by the former wrestler and entrepreneur from Panipat feature him approaching women in China and engaging in casual conversations. In most instances, the women seem friendly, responding to simple questions about directions or life in China. However, the thumbnails and titles on Kanwal’s videos paint a different picture. He used misleading and provocative language to suggest he had sexual encounters with the women.

An individual said, “He should be suspended from YouTube. Shame on YouTube for allowing this type of content.”
“They need serious re-education, humility is totally lacking,” expressed another.
A third commented, “This isn’t just an India problem; it’s a global issue. I can show you countless videos from around the world where women are disrespected in various ways. It’s not about pointing fingers; it’s about addressing a universal problem.”
