A man’s visit to a toilet turned into his worst nightmare after he had a deadly encounter with a 12-foot python in Thailand. Thanat Tangtewanon sat down for his “personal business" when he unexpectedly got bitten by a python, leaving him bleeding on the toilet seat. Sharing his ordeal on his Facebook account, Thanat shared that he experienced terrible pain in his scrotum only to discover a python had latched on to his private parts. The chilling incident took place on Tuesday, August 20.
“I felt something biting me. It was very painful, so I put my hands in the toilet to see what was wrong. I was shocked that I grabbed a snake," he wrote. Thanat said that the snake had firmly attached itself refusing to be shaken off. It was only when he thrashed it with the toilet brush that the reptile released its hold.
“The feeling at that time was not pain but more shock. I squeezed the snake’s neck tightly in order to pull it out of the toilet. But the force was too much; no matter how I pulled, I couldn’t pull it out. As I was both shocked and angry, I looked and saw a bathroom brush nearby that I could grab. I hit it without stopping," he said. He eventually killed the reptile before asking the security guard to take it away while he went to the doctor for treatment.
Viewer Discretion Is Advised
During this time, Thanat also got bitten on his finger but, thankfully managed to avert danger as it was a non-venomous python. The man shared images of his bloody struggle in the toilet on social media to warn others. The images show the giant python slithering out of the flush with blood drops all over the seat. A few videos show Thanat’s struggle to pull it out.
Notably, the incident comes at a time when the authorities in Thailand have already warned people to remain aware of snakes, especially during the monsoon season in the country. Social media users also took to the comment section and shared their concerns.
A user wrote, “Are you safe? Pay more attention to rainy days," while another commented, “Thank you for sharing your experience. You really have to be careful. Luckily, you’re safe."
“This one, I remember its head. When I returned, I saw its head pop up in the toilet a lot. To the point that I didn’t dare use the bathroom at all," a user said sharing his own experience.
