Delhi Police dropped a new creative post urging citizens to focus on driving over indulging in other 'cravings'.

Known for its witty tweets on different issues, Delhi Police’s latest post on road safety advisory has caught the attention of social media users. In a new road safety advisory, the Delhi Police adopted another creative way to encourage people to focus on driving over indulging in other ‘cravings’. The post was shared on platform X (Formerly Twitter) on January 30. The post featured a creative image with three hoardings designed to educate people about one of the vital traffic rules – safe driving.

According to the post, the first hoarding resembled a Swiggy ad, attracting drivers to order a bowl of soup to meet their cravings. The following hoarding looked like an ad which urged people to watch the Netflix series named ‘Killer Soup’.

However, in an artistic twist, Delhi Police used a third hoarding to bring attention back to safe driving. The third post effectively toppled the charm of the previous two posts. “Craving par nahi, driving par dhyan do,” reads the caption of Delhi Police’s new post.

The users were quick to flock to the comments section and share their thoughts. This new road advisory mustered over 4,000 views with users advocating for Delhi Police’s awareness message.

This is not the only post shared on social media; the Delhi Police frequently shares creative posts to spread awareness about various other important subjects.

A while ago, Delhi Police shared a message about road safety for bikers on X. To make the post more engaging, the department made sure to add a pinch of humour to the advisory. It had a screenshot of a Google result page, with a query in the search box reading, “How to do a wheelie.”

In 2023, Delhi Police used their official X account to share a crucial traffic advisory. Taking inspiration from a scene from the Bollywood blockbuster film Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, the Delhi Police decided to spread awareness.

Using a snippet from the film, Delhi Police in the caption wrote, “BACHCHA, BADA YA JAWAN, HELMET BACHA SAKTA HAI JAAN! (Whether it’s children, the elderly, or the young, a helmet can save a life!)” This particular video from Jawan shows Shah Rukh Khan riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet.
