Initially, she ignored the prize money but later, she realised that the amount she won was huge and could change her life forever.
According to a Daily Star report, the woman initially thought that she won the lottery for a small amount, but was left dumbstruck when she saw the actual amount. Toni Henderson a resident of Durham, United Kingdom, recently bought a lottery ticket without expecting much from it. When she checked the lottery results she initially thought she had won the lottery amounting to 1700 pounds (approximately Rs 1.79 lakh). She was delighted after winning the amount.
However, when she logged in to her online account to match the exact numbers she was left astonished by the results. The 32-year-old woman saw that she had won a lottery amounting to 1 million Pounds (approximately Rs 10.5 crore).
While talking to the media she said, “I checked one of the lines and realised I have some similar numbers. I matched five numbers and saw that the amount I won was 1,700 pounds. I was amazed by winning the amount as I needed the money. But later when I logged in to my online account it showed that I had won 1 million pounds. I sat there counting the zeros.”
Toni Henderson stays with her son and works as an admin assistant in the Durham County office. She was excited after winning the huge amount and contacted her mother to share the amazing news. Her mother didn’t answer her call as it was midnight time. So, she drove to her mother’s house to share the exciting news. Her mother was surprised after seeing them at that time. Toni then confirmed the results with The National Lottery the following morning. She mentioned that she has no words to express and this money will help her to secure the future of her son.
