Vicky Kaushal Crediting His Spotboy For His Success Shows He's More Than Just an Actor

“Sometimes success belongs to the people you are attached with,” Vicky Kaushal remarked during a promotion for his movie ‘Bad Newz,’ which hit theaters on July 19, 2024. The film, directed by Anand Tiwari, stars Ammy Virk and Tripti Dimri alongside Kaushal in this charming romcom.

In an interview with Mashable India, Kaushal shared a heartfelt story that has profoundly impacted his life and career. He reminisced about meeting his spotboy, Parag, for the first time during the shoot of ‘Masaan.’ At that time, Kaushal had no spotboy, driver, manager, or PR team. “I didn’t know how to do all this,” he confessed. One day, Parag approached him and said, “Whenever you need a spotboy, please contact me.” Kaushal, in turn, promised that when he became successful enough to need a personal spotboy, he would definitely call Parag.

“The moment I got the opportunity, I called him up,” Kaushal recalled. Reflecting on this, he realized that Parag had played a crucial role in his success. “It was actually him who should be credited because somewhere he wished for me to succeed so he could work for me. So, eventually, God listened to him.”

Kaushal concluded with a memorable line: “You think your success just belongs to you. No, sometimes it belongs to the people you are attached with.”
