Airbags are one of the most essential parts of a car as they can reduce the risk of injury or death in a car crash. Airbags can cushion the impact of the driver and passenger and prevent fatal injuries. It also reduces the speed with which a body can collide with the steering wheel, dashboard or other passengers. Airbags along with seatbelts have been found to reduce the risk of death by at least 61 per cent in frontal crashes. Now, imagine a car at the junkyard is in an extremely bad condition and it is only while removing a part of it that the airbags inflate. The internet had a field day and the airbags became the butt of the joke!
A video has surfaced online where one car is seen in an unfortunate condition. It has its doors, a part of the bonnet, seats and wheels missing. By the look of it, you will be able to judge that the car looks quite old and must have been in a bad accident. As the scrapyard guys were taking the car apart piece by piece, it was at that moment the airbags became functional. Naturally, the internet found it funny that the car survived an accident and the airbags remained intact and did not open then. The in-text read, “The car realised today that it met with an accident”.
It is quite strange since airbags must open as soon as a car gets into a crash or accident. This car which has turned into complete junk activated the airbags. The comment section was filled with jokes. One user humorously wrote, “Hey brother, be happy, the car has regained its memory which it must have lost during the accident.” Another chimed in, “Four days after the accident the car regained its memory.” “Looks like the car is out of coma now”, wrote another.
One more wrote, “I had heard about Ichhadhari Saanp, but for the first time I am seeing Ichhadhari Airbag.”
