The youth of the village said that they have rescued more than 20 people trapped in the water.

These days, it is raining continuously in Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, the rivers and streams are in spate again. Recently, a stream in Mohad village, Burhanpur, suddenly got flooded, which has caused major disruptions in the area.

At the time when the flood came, the workers were working in the field. All of them got trapped due to the flood. The youth showed promptness and started rescuing. After half an hour of hard effort, all the people trapped in the water were taken out. Meanwhile, the video is now going viral on social media.

People who got trapped in the water recently shared in a media interaction that when they went to work in the fields in the morning, there was no water in the drain. They had passed through this place. But, while they were working in the field, suddenly flood water came in the drain. The water was about 4 to 5 feet. They got stuck. When the young population of the village came to know about it, they reached the spot with a rope, rescuing them one by one. They also shared that while crossing the drain, they also lost their balance. The flow was so strong that many people narrowly escaped drowning.

On the other hand, one of the youths of the village said that they had rescued more than 20 people trapped in the water. Ropes were put on both sides of the drain. The youth held the ropes from both sides. After this, one by one, all the people came to the other side. Due to the fast flow of water, they rescued the people with great difficulty.

Meanwhile, a flash flood risk has been announced for the next 24 hours for coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The risk alert extends to places like Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts in Andhra Pradesh and Cuddalore, Dharampuri, Krishnagiri, Perambalur, Salem, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvallur and Vellore districts in Tamil Nadu. It also extends to Yanam district in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

High waves between 3.1 and 4.2 metres were predicted and surface current speeds could vary between 65 and 116 cm/sec. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea on October 17, while those already in the sea, have been advised to return to the coasts.
