Zerodha co-founder and CEO Nithin Kamath recently shared a nostalgic moment on social media, reminiscing about his time working at a call centre. Alongside some throwback photos with his colleagues, he humorously reflected on the irony of the past experiences. Nithin humorously pointed out how, during his telemarketing days, he made “unsolicited” calls to people in the US, only to now keep his phone on silent mode due to telemarketing calls he receives.

“My phone has become unusable due to telemarketing and is always silent. Guess what goes around comes around. I spent four years at a call centre, making unsolicited calls to people in the US. I guess Karma has a way of biting back,” he quipped in his post on X (formerly Twitter).

Nithin’s post sparked a wildfire of engagement online, racking up over 300,000 views and prompting a flood of reactions in the comment section. Also, Companies should at least half of this investment on Customer service instead of customer acquisition!”
