Why Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Is Upset With People Asking For Free Passes To Dua Lipa’s Mumbai Show
Ahead of Dua Lipa’s performance in Mumbai, Zomato founder, Deepinder Goyal shared that his WhatsApp has been bombarded with messages for free tickets.

Pop sensation Dua Lipa is gearing up to perform at the upcoming Zomato Feeding India concert on November 30 in Mumbai. While fans are buzzing with excitement, the event has brought some unexpected drama. Deepinder Goyal shared that since he made the official announcement, his WhatsApp was bombarded with messages from people asking for free passes.

He mentioned that these requests were coming from individuals who could easily afford to buy tickets but were still asking for free entry. Frustrated with all the requests, Goyal has decided to leave messages of such people on seen and is urging everyone to purchase tickets to support the event’s cause.

Goyal wrote, “We have already hit 300k registrations on the ‘notify me when tickets open up’ for the Zomato Feeding India Concert with DUA LIPA. Thank you everyone for showing so much love! Pre-sale for all HSBC cardholders goes live tomorrow. PS – I’ve been getting a lot of messages for free passes to the concert. Interestingly, all these requests are from people who can very well pay for these tickets. At my end, I am leaving all such messages on seen. I request everyone to please buy these tickets, it’s one step in supporting the cause on eradicating malnutrition and hunger in India.”

Reacting to the post, a user joked, “Was so upset that you left me on seen, I ordered from Swiggy.”

Another shared, “Asking for free passes to a charity concert is crazy.”

“The mass disruptor,” a comment read.

An individual suggests, “How about live-streaming it here?”

One more added, “Zomato shareholders ke liye passes arrange karwado. (Arrange passes for Zomato shareholders).”

The tickets for Zomato Feeding India concert featuring Dua Lipa are available on the Zomato app. The silver zone tickets start at Rs 3500 and go up to Rs 6000. For those looking for more exclusive experience, they could purchase lounge tickets for Rs 36,000. This premium ticket will offer an elevated view of the stage, along with complimentary food and drinks, dedicated entry and exit points, reserved parking spaces, private restrooms and even a play area for children.

The upcoming concert will be Lipa’s second performance in India. Her first event was in 2019 at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai. This time, the singer will be entertaining fans at the MMRDA Ground in BKC, Mumbai on November 30, alongside other talented artists like Jonita Gandhi and Talwiinder.
