In a spiritual celebration of ‘Shri Ram’ at the British Parliament, the Sanatan Sanstha of the UK (SSUK) marked the beginning of festivities ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The London-based SSUK organised the event this week, which witnessed a spiritual atmosphere with the sacred sound of a Shankh within the hallowed halls of the House of Commons. Commencing with a bhajan, the event unfolded with SSUK members presenting the Kakbhushundi Samvad and paying homage to the “life of Shri Krishna” through a delve into the 12th Chapter of the Gita.

“The event was presided by Harrow MP Bob Blackman, Shri Raj Rajeshwar Guru ji & Brahmarishi Ashram Swami Surya Prabha Didi. Children and teens were given their certificates to join in this beautiful Sanatan Evening organised by SSUK,” the London-based group said in a Facebook post. This was the second year in a row SSUK did this event in the UK Parliament for Sanatan Dharma.

Dharmic communities in the UK earlier released a statement welcoming the forthcoming inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir. The Pran Pratishta ceremony, scheduled for January 22, will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with hundreds of dignitaries.

The Prime Minister is also poised to perform rituals, marking the Pran Pratishtha of the idol of “Ram Lalla” during the seven-day ceremony taking place this month. This ceremonial installation, with its spiritual resonance, symbolises a momentous occasion for Hindu devotees worldwide, as they come together to witness the consecration of the Ram Mandir.
