Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta up for Auction, Could Fetch Over 5 Million Euros
There are two other Ferraris up for sale too, both worth over a million Euros!

Classic cars are like investments, they get more and more expensive with time. Ofcourse, you gotta take care of them for ages. While not everyone can afford classic cars worth millions of Euros, it still catches eyeballs all over the world and one such car is ready to go up for auction soon – a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, the short-wheelbase (SWB) model.

On July 9, Artcurial will auction a selection of 115 classic cars, including various sports models, as part of the Le Mans Classic event. Some are estimated to be worth over one million Euros.

The star of this sale will be a Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta – considered to be one of the most beautiful models produced by the Italian brand which was introduced in 1961 at the Paris Salon. The car's current owner acquired it in 1969. In excellent condition, its auction estimate has not yet been officially announced, but it will be over 5 million Euros.

Ferrari will be the focus of much attention, with two other models estimated to be worth over one million Euros. These include a 1967 330 GTS (between 1.7 and 1.9 million Euros) and a 1990 F40 (between 1.1 and 1.3 million Euros). The other models up for auction with an estimated value of over one million Euros are a Delage D6 3L Grand Prix, which was driven in competition by Maurice Trintignant and Philippe Etancelin (between 1.2 and 1.4 million Euros), and a Porsche 935 which took part in the Le Mans Classic at the end of the 1970s (between 1.1 and 1.5 million Euros).

Two other vehicles could also top that symbolic figure – an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante X-Pack (between 800,000 and 1.2 million Euros) and a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster (between 700,000 and 1.1 million Euros).

Le Mans Classic, a biennial event which brings together a multitude of spectacular collector cars which took part in the race between 1923 and 1979, will be held this year from July 8 to 10. The auction will take place on Saturday, July 9, at Le Mans 24 hour circuit. At an auction at Paris Rétromobile in February of this year, Artcurial sold a Ferrari 335 S Scaglietti for 32.1 million Euros.

With so many beautiful cars going up for sale, it is going to be a collector's heaven. For those who have admired the beauty of these cars for years, it will be interesting to watch what these pieces of art fetch, cause they will only get more expensive in the coming years.
