Big Bash League 2023-24: Pakistan's Haris Rauf Forgets to Wear Pads When Coming to Bat - WATCH

Pakistan’s express pacer, Haris Rauf was in the spotlight during his game in Australia’s Big Bash League. The pacer was coming out to bat and seemed to have forgotten to wear some important gear when coming to the middle.

Rauf came out in the middle to bat without wearing his gloves, helmet or the pads for the Melbourne Stars in the match.

However, the pacer did not seem to be too concerned as he was in the non-striker’s end with only one ball remaining in the innings.

Daniel Sams of the Sydney Thunder managed to steal the show in the match as he managed to pick up four wickets in four balls in the final over of the first innings. The Australian pacer managed to finish with figures of 4/33 in his quota of four overs.

Rauf’s side on the other hand had it rough with the ball despite the Pakistan pacer performing well by taking one wicket and giving away 20 runs in three overs.

Sydney Thunder managed to chase down their target of 172 set by the Melbourne Stars with all-round contributions with the bat. The opening pair of Cameron Bancroft and Alex Hales managed to put up 70 runs on the board to put the Thunder ahead as they cruised towards the win.

The Stars have had a horrendous start to their Big Bash campaign having lost all three of the matches so far. The side will hope that Haris Rauf will look to bring in his experience to take the game away from the opposition batters with his lethal pace going forward.

Rauf on the other hand will look to prepare himself for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia after the ongoing Test series as Pakistan will look to best prepare themselves for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
