Former Pakistan cricketer and now Team director, Mohammed Hafeez’s comments regarding Pakistan’s performance against Australia in the second Test garnered attention across platforms.
Hafeez spoke in a press conference after the Test concluded, saying,” We played better cricket as a team. I’m proud of that. The way the team had the courage to attack this game in the best possible way. If I sum up the whole game, the Pakistan team played better than the other team. Our batting intent was better, and we were hitting the right areas while bowling.

Hafeez also added,” We made some mistakes that cost us the game but as a team, I believe there were a lot of positives, enough to win the game but unfortunately in the end we didn’t win the game.”
Taking a sly dig at the comments made by Hafeez, the official handle of Iceland Cricket posted,” It’s amazing. How can the more talented and superior team have lost 16 matches in a row in Australia? Surely those lucky Aussies will stop being lucky soon.”

Pakistan might have fared better in the second Test against Australia but to call them the better side in the Test would make it a bit of a stretch considering the dismal batting performance from some of the batters.
Their bowling on the other hand has improved despite the lack of experienced players. Shaheen was not all alone at all as he along with the rest of the pacers managed to put in a shift to give Pakistan the chance to win the test.
Pakistan will don the whites once more in the final Test against Australia which will be held in Sydney and will be a memorable one as it will be the final appearance of Australian great, David Warner in the red-ball format.
The opening batter decided to call time on his red-ball career as he now aims to focus more on the white-ball games instead.
Pakistan on the other hand will look to improve even more and get their hands on the win that has eluded the side for so long now.
