With 13 runs required off the last six balls, the Rajasthan Royals had their hopes pinned on Rovman Powell to finish the chase of 202 successfully. He had almost ensured the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a defeat, even throwing his body on the line to keep the Royals on course to a thrilling win. But it was veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who had the last laugh. Needing two to win off the last delivery, the right-arm quick trapped Powell with a dipping Yorker to leave the visitors stranded at 200. Hyderabad were through with a 1-run win at the Uppal Stadium, leaving their fans overjoyed.

Emotions were galore in the Hyderabad camp. They were jubilant and so was their owner, Kavya Maran who jumped in the air after a sensational win.

That’s T20 cricket, anything can happen: Pat Cummins
An elated Pat Cummins lauded his bowlers for producing a thriller in Hyderabad. SRH jumped back into the top four with 12 points and a Net Run Rate of +0.072.
“That’s T20 cricket. Anything can happen, Bhuvi executed that last ball. You try to take some wickets in the middle. Natarajan is a good yorker bowler, fortunately we got some wickets. Played some games here, thought 200 could have been chased down. He (Nitish Reddy) sums up the conditions pretty well, he’s amazing, great in the field, gives some overs with the ball as well,” said Cummins at the post-match presentation.
SRH win by 1 run
Nitish Reddy (76*) and Travis Head (58) scored half centuries to help Sunrisers Hyderabad post 201/3 after opting to bat. Head and Reddy scored 96 runs off 57 deliveries to resurrect SRH”s innings while Heinrich Klaasen (42 not out of 19) provided the final flurry. In reply, Riyan Parag (77) and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (67) stitched a 133-run stand after Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked two wickets in the first over.
But Sunrisers bowlers made a strong comeback to snatch the win off the last ball.
Earlier, SRH were unable to capitalize on the Powerplay, losing the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh.
