Sajeevan Sajana stole the show with her acrobatic fielding during a Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz on Thursday in Delhi.
Sajana, who represents inaugural WPL champions MI, took as many as three catches against UPW.
Of them, the catch to dismiss Sophie Ecclestone even left Mumbai captain Harmanpreet Kaur in awe.

After Delhi Capitals’ Nat Sciver-Brunt sent off Poonam Khemnar on the third delivery of the 15th over, Sophie Ecclestone arrived at the crease, joining hands with Deepti Sharma.
In her very first ball off Sciver-Brunt, Ecclestone opted for a lofted shot as she tried to clear the deep midwicket boundary where Sajana was stationed.
The Kerala all-rounder closely followed the ball before pulling off a spectacular dive to complete the catch.

Apart from Ecclestone, two more UP Warriorz batters– Chamari Athapaththu and Uma Chetry fell victim to the agility of Sajana.
Athapaththu returned to the UPW dug-out for three in the fourth over while Chetry managed eight runs before Saika Ishaque surprised her with a slower delivery.
Similar to their opponents, Mumbai Indians also failed to make an impressive start to their innings. After both their openers were dismissed early, Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet began rebuilding.
The duo racked up 59 runs together before Harmanpreet was dismissed by Saima Thakor for 33.
Sciver-Brunt missed her half-century by just five runs and her contribution proved vital in MI bouncing back in the contest. In response, UP Warriorz could only make 118/9.
