BSF Announces Recruitment For SI, Head Constable And Constable Positions

Border Security Force (BSF) has announced the BSF Water Wing’s recruitment for Groups B and C positions. Applications for the jobs of Head Constable (Master, Engine Driver), Sub-Inspector (Master, and Workshop), and other vacancies are being accepted online by the Border Security Force (BSF).

Applicants may apply online at rectt.bsf.gov.in for these roles if they are willing to join the BSF services. The application deadline for this position is June 30, 2024. It is recommended that applicants submit their application materials ahead of time.

The BSF will fill positions for SI Master, SI Engine Driver, Head Constable Master, Head Constable Engine Driver, Head Constable Workshop, and Constable Crew through this recruitment. Ten per cent of the positions are set aside for former military personnel.

Below are the exam details for the post of BSF recruitment:

BSF Recruitment 2024: Age Limit

Applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 28 to be considered for the position of SI Engine Driver. There is a 20–25-year age limit for the Head Constable Master, Engine Driver, Workshop, and Crew. There will be a relaxation of the maximum age limit for candidates from the reserved category.

BSF Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

Following a written exam, physical exam, document verification, trade test, and medical exam, candidates will be selected for BSF recruiting.

BSF Recruitment 2024: Pay Scale

-SI Engine Driver and SI Master: Rs. 35400–112400 (Level 6)

-Engine Driver, Head Constable Master, Workshop: Rs 25500-81100 (Level-4)

-Constable Crew: Level 3; Rs. 21700–69100

BSF Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

SI Master- The Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department awarded a Second Class Master Certificate to the 12th pass class.

SI Engine Driver- Pass the 12th grade with a First Class Master Certificate from the Mercantile Marine Department and the Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority.

Head Constable Master- Sarang Certificate awarded for 10th place.

Engine Driver Head Constable – 10th passed with a certificate of Second Class Engine Driver.

Head Constable Workshop -10th grade passed with an ITI diploma in any of the following fields- electronics, carpentry, plumbing, motor mechanics, electricians, and AC technicians, among others.

Constable Crew- 10th pass with less than 265 horsepower under their belt. Additionally, one should be able to swim in deep water on his own.

BSF Recruitment 2024: Physical Criteria

All ST/OBC applicants should be 160 cm tall with a chest measurement of 73–78 cm.

The required height and chest measurements are 162 cm and 75-80 cm, respectively, for the posts of Group B (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Leh, Ladakh and North East states) and Group C (Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and North East states, Jammu & Kashmir), Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh & Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar and Dogra.
