Vinita Pahel is currently posted as deputy SP in Ghazipur for field training.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Every year, more than 5 lakh candidates apply for this exam, but only about 10,000 make it to the mains. In the end, only 1000 candidates make it to the interview round, which is a pass rate of less than 1 percent. A woman from Haryana decided to crack the Civil Service exam, and she achieved success. Let’s take a look at her success story today. Hailing from Karnal, Vinita Pahel attended DAV school. Then she joined St Stephen’s College. Vinita chose the science stream in college and completed graduation in 2021. During this time, she started preparing for civil services. Vinita’s parents are both teachers. Father Surendra Singh is the principal of Government Middle School, while mother Kamlesh Pahal is a mathematics teacher at DAV school.

The important thing is that Vinita never took any civil services classes during her preparation. She studied on her own and successfully cracked the exam. After graduation, Vinita took up studies at JNU. She did post-graduation in geography. During that time, Vinita appeared in both the PCS and UPPCS exams in Haryana. Vinita said in an interview that she took both the exams in 2021 and was successful in them.

When the results were out in October 2022, Vinita was selected for the post of BDO through the Haryana PCS. In the UPPCS, she secured second rank and was selected as deputy SP. She rejected the BDO post to join the UP Police. Vinita’s training at the UP Police Academy Moradabad began in April 2023 and continued for a year. Now, she is posted as deputy SP in Ghazipur for field training.

Vinita shared she was the youngest in the batch of 24. “I have decided to join the civil services in class 10 itself. Since I am an only child, my parents were also very supportive,” she said, Vinita added that her parents left no stone unturned to help her with her education.
