The Recruitment Cell (RRC NER) of North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur, has invited applications for apprenticeship training for ITI pass candidates. There are 1,104 vacancies for apprenticeship training in various trades such as fitter, welder, electrician, carpenter, painter, machinist, and turner.
Interested applicants must apply online by visiting the railway websites ner.indianrailways.gov.in and apprentice.rrcnr.net. The deadline for this recruitment application is July 11. Selection for ITI apprenticeship training in railways will be based on merit. This merit will be made by taking the average of marks obtained in 10th and ITI. It is necessary to have at least 50 per cent marks in both ITI and 10th. Both will get equal weightage. There will not be any separate written exam for the recruitment process.

For ITI apprenticeship, candidates should be at least 15 years old and no older than 24 years old. Candidates from the SC/ST categories are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit, allowing them to apply up to the age of 29. Similarly, candidates from the OBC category are eligible for a relaxation of 3 years in the maximum age limit, permitting them to apply up to the age of 27.
Minimum physical standards have also been sought for this ITI apprenticeship training in railways. To qualify for this, the height of the candidates should be at least 137 cm, weight 25.4 kg and chest expansion 3.8 cm.
The application fee for apprenticeship recruitment in North Eastern Railway is Rs 100. Application is free for SC/ST, women and Divyang categories.
