Valencia negotiating with AC Milan for Adil Rami loan

Spain: Valencia say they are close to a deal to send France defender Adil Rami to AC Milan on loan.

Valencia club president Amadeo Salvo tells Europa Press news agency "the negotiations with Milan are going well. They may be done shortly."

Rami has been suspended by Valencia for one week without pay for insulting his coach and team-mates in a radio interview last month.

On Wednesday, the Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan would pay 400,000 euros ($540,000) for the loan, and then have the option to pick up Rami's full rights for 6 million euros ($8.15 million) at the end of the season.
