PUDUCHERRY: AIADMK MLA of Nellithope Constituency Om Sakthi Segar on Monday staged a dharna in the lobby of Legislative Assembly protesting against the government on 10 diffrent issues.He said that even though the year was coming to an end, the MLA LAD funds was yet to be provided. His constituency lacked development and there was an urgent need for laying roads and drains. If the funds were released, he could use it to execute several works.Further he alleged discrimination in disbursement of cyclone relief and said that not even 1000 beneficiaries have been selected in his constituency, while in the adjoining Orleanpet constituency, under the AINRC, around 4,500 beneficiaries had been given relief.After Speaker V Sabapathy assured him that the issue would be brought to the notice of the government, he withdrew the dharna.
