CHENNAI: Sleuths of the anti-dowry cell reunited a three-year-old boy and his mother after they were separated in a quarrel in the family here on Sunday.Police said the woman and her husband had been working in Los Angeles, and in 2009 she fled to Chennai after harassment by her husband and in-laws. Since then, she had been trying in vain to get custody of her son. Police said Srija (33) had married Ravichandran (35) in 2007. Recently, when her husband had come to Chennai along with her son, Srija lodged a complaint with the police and sleuths of anti-dowry cell registered a case. Investigations revealed that Ravichandran, his son and his mother had left Chennai for Singapore on their way to the US. After police contacted authorities in Singapore, Ravichandran returned to Chennai and handed over his son to his wife after a counselling session.
