APSP constable injured in blast

An APSP head constable suffered serious injuries after a tear gas shell exploded near the police station in Siddipet town on Friday night. He was provided first aid at Siddipet hospital and then shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday. However, police did not allow mediapersons to see either the injured head constable or the site of the mishap.

Siddipet One Town circle inspector T Nagabhushanam said that for the last few months, APSP teams have been camping in the quarters allocated behind their police station. The teams have been keeping their weapons in their rooms itself.  On Friday night, APSP head constable Ravinder Reddy and reserve inspector Srinivas slept in a room lighting a mosquito-repellent coil.
