Cold wave continues in North India, Agra records 1.4 deg C
Temperature in most of cities varied between 20 to 1 degree Celsius on Sunday.

New Delhi: Mercury on Sunday dipped to 4.5 degree on Delhi Celsius while Srinagar experienced a minimum temperature of -3.7 degree Celsius. Cold wave conditions are likely to continue in the region for the next few days.

Meanwhile, temperature in most of the cities varied between 20 to 1 degree Celsius on Sunday. Plains of Uttar Pradesh to reeled under biting cold wave and fog disrupted normal life in some parts of the state.

Agra recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 1.4 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological department said. Fog disrupted normal life at some places in the state.

Temperature fell appreciably in Lucknow, Jhansi and Agra divisions. The temperature was markedly below normal in Agra division while it was above normal in Faizabad division.

The MeT office said the weather would remain mainly dry over the state. Rain/thundershowers would occur at isolated places over the state tomorrow, it said.
