Cop booked for dowry harassment

HYDERABAD: Banjara Hills police on Friday registered a dowry harassment case against a inspector attached to the vigilance department in Nalgonda district.According to the police, Sudhir  got married to one Priyanka of Film Nagar in 2009,  but six months later  they got separated following disputes. Elders of Sudhir and Priyanka  met at Nandinagar  to solve the dispute on Friday. During discussion, Sudhir reportedly attacked his in-laws,’’ said Chandrasekhar Goud, in-charge inspector of Banjara Hills.Priyanka’s parents lodged a complaint with  the police  accusing the inspector of dowry harassment.  Police also booked  cases against Priyanka’s family  based on the complaint by Sudhir alleging that  his gold chain was stolen by them.
