BANGALORE/NEW DELHI: Congress hatchet man Digvijay Singh pulled Sri Sri Ravi Shankar into his campaign against Anna Hazare, expressing the ‘fear’ that the Art of Living founder would be roped into the anti-corruption stir as part of the RSS-BJP’s plan to divert attention from the Hindu right’s alleged terror links. “I have been saying from day one that this (Team Anna’s fight against corruption) is part of an overall plan of the RSS-BJP combine to divert attention from the Sangh’s involvement in the Malegaon, Hyderabad, Ajmer Sharif and Samjhauta Express blasts,” the AICC general secretary told reporters in Bangalore. Ravishankar hit back at the leader’s diatribe. “Is he in the business of making predictions nowadays?” Writing on Twitter, Singh said while Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare were plan A and B of the Sangh-BJP, Sri Sri Ravishankar is Plan C and advised the spiritual guru to be wary of the two organisations. In the face of the Digvijay onslaught, Anna Hazare said he would extend his vow of silence because verbal communication with people was leaving him “very weak”. His decision to continue his ‘maun vrat,’ which he started on Oct.16, will mean that he will not attend the Team Anna core committee meeting in New Delhi on Saturday.
