HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is learnt to have told his cabinet colleagues not to entertain requests from pro-Jagan legislators or leaders for favourable consideration.Speaking at a meeting with his cabinet colleagues here on Sunday, which gained political significance in the wake of the controversy on the notice for no-confidence motion served by the Telugu Desam against the government, Reddy said disciplinary action would be initiated against the rebels at an appropriate time.The Assembly, which met just for a day on Saturday for election of the speaker and the deputy speaker, was adjourned sine die immediately after the election and without the new speaker making a mention of the notice. The opposition party members registered their protest and met governor ESL Narasimhan with a request to convene the Assembly at the earliest to discuss the motion. The developments in the Assembly during the election of the speaker and deputy speaker, YSR Congress’ charge of Congress-TDP collusion on the ‘no-trust motion’ issue came up for discussion. The chief minister informed the ministers of his proposed tour of Ranga Reddy, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts from June 7 to 9. He will visit Bengaluru on June 10 to attend southern states chief ministers’ conference to be organised by the Planning Commission.K Jana Reddy, D Prasada Rao, A Ramanarayana Reddy, K Lakshminarayana, M Venkata Ramana, D Sridhar Babu, P Satyanarayana, P Sudershan Reddy were among those who attended the meeting.PCC president D Srinivas also met Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter’s camp office for about half an hour, and discussed the political developments in the state and the national capital.
