Bank of Baroda is reportedly considering replacing Dravid with Dhoni.
New Delhi: Although his team pulled off a much needed win on Wednesday in the IPL, Rahul Dravid's difficulties simply refuse to go away. There are reports that Dravid may lose a lucrative contract with the Bank of Baroda.
Dravid is the brand ambassador for the bank and his contract is said to be worth Rs 4 crore over four years.
According to reports, the bank is considering replacing Dravid with Indian One-day and T20 captain MS Dhoni who has apparently demanded for a whopping Rs Rs 7 crore per year to sign on.
Although the bank's Managing Director Devdas Mallya refused to confirm the reports, a source told Newswire 18 that there is no question of renewing Dravid's contract.
