New Delhi: Looks like Mohit Suri knows the sure shot formula to make a film a superhit. His latest film 'Ek Villain' has earned Rs 50.70 crores in three days since its release on 27th June.
Featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh in lead characters, 'Ek Villain' opened to almost packed theaters on Friday itself. Declaring it as a 'monstrous hit', trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film's Box Office collection over the weekend. "#EkVillain passes 'Monday test' with flying colors. Wknd 50.70 cr, Mon 8.10 cr. Total: ₹ 58.8 cr nett. India biz. MONSTROUS HIT!(sic)".
Balaji Motion Picture's CEO, Tanuj Garg tweeted that the film has earned 2.2 miliion USD in the past four days in the overseas market.
A romantic thriller, 'Ek Villain' had Riteish Deshmukh and Siddharth Malhotra playing characters with negative shades. The film also featured Aamna Sharif in a supporting role. This is Mohit Suri's first film post the stupendous success of 'Aashiqui 2' which released in 2013 and earned Rs 100 crores. Looks like Suri's second film is going to enter the esteemed club as well.
