New Delhi: A cool morning greeted Delhiites on Thursday, after heavy overnight rains drenched the city. The rains also led to problems like water logging and traffic snarls in many areas.
"The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 AM was 25 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal," a MeT official said.
The Safdarjung observatory recorded 7.4 mm rainfall while the reading at Palam observatory was 34 mm. The humidity was recorded at 97 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted cloudy day ahead with possibility of heavy rains towards the evening. "The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius," the official added.
On Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 35.5 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.
