New Delhi: Temples in Delhi are now accepting donations through mobile wallet service providers like Paytm in order to assist devotees in making donation without crumbling under the impact of demonetisation.

In this regard, the Kalkaji Temple administration has started Paytm service through which the devotees can transfer the donation straightaway into the bank account of the temple.

The temple's chief priest Surendra Nath Avdhoot said that since the past few days, devotees are facing problems in making donations due to which temple authorities decided to launch the Paytm service.

The temple may also accept donation through credit/debit card and net banking soon.

Another temple, Jhandewalan temple in Central Delhi, has also taken the help of Paytm in accepting donation from the devotees.

On the other hand, the CEO of the Shri Adya Katyani Temple in South Delhi, Narendra Kochar, informed that the temple has not opted for any other service to accept donation as of now.

He also said that people are facing trouble in giving donation to the temple as a result of which the authority may take a decision anytime soon.

Meanwhile, ISKON temple spokesperson asserted that the authorities are holding a meeting to chalk out methods to help people donate money to the temple.
