I didnt pressure Congress high command: Chiru

HYDERABAD: Congress leader K Chiranjeevi has denied bringing pressure on the party high command for cabinet berths to his legislators.“We never sought any positions, Now that two of my group’s legislators are in the cabinet, the party has acquired a new image,” he said after the swearing-in by Ganta Srinivasa Rao and C Ramachandraiah, who were inducted into the Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet, at the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.“My aim is to ensure that the Congress comes back to power in the state in 2014.I will work towards this end,” he declared.Chiranjeevi said it would have been better had the party allowed induction of one more legislator from his group.It would have looked better if one legislator from Telangana was also taken into the cabinet.“But positions do not come just because one demands them but at an appropriate time,” Chiranjeevi said, thanking party president Sonia Gandhi, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana
