Parliament session today is likely to be dominated by the death sentence handed down to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan on charges of espionage. New Delhi has said it will regard as "premeditated murder" if Pakistan carries out the death sentence against Jadhav "without observing basic norms of law and justice".
Protests have broken out against Pakistan at several places in India against Pakistan, including the country’s High Commission, against the death sentence handed to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav on charges of “spying”.
In Parliament, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made a statement on the matter, saying India will ensure justice for Jadhav. Parliamentary Affairs minister Ananth Kumar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also reply in the House, but didn’t specify the time.
