New Delhi: As LG's flagship phone the G3 gets sets for its India launch on July 21, the Korean company has readied a mid-tier variant of the phone. The LG G3 Beat packs in more economical-specifications behind a smaller 5-inch display.
The display in the G3 Beat is a fairly common 1280x720, 294ppi in contrast to the 2560x1440, 538ppi in the G3.
The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2 GHz quad-core against the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz quad-core that powers the G3.
Features that the G3 beat borrows from the G3 are:
Laser Auto Focus: For faster focusing by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam.
Touch & Shoot: Lets users touch anywhere on the display to focus and shoot, reducing a two-step process to just one.
Gesture Shot: Clench your hand in front of the screen to automatically begin a three-second countdown before the picture is snapped.
Smart Keyboard: That learns how you type.
QuickMemo+: To jot, sketch and take notes.
The LG G3 Beat will make its debut on July 18 in South Korea and begin its global rollout from Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States countries in a few weeks.
The LG G3 Beat will be available as the LG G3 s in Europe and the CIS.
Prices and details of availability will be announced locally at the time of launch.
