Metro rail works to hit water supply in Kilpauk

CHENNAI: Water connection in parts of Kilpauk, Chetpet, Nungambakkam and Teynampet areas will be hit with the shifting of Trunk Main-VII at Poonamallee High Road near Kilpauk Medical College to facilitate the construction work of underground Metro Rail.Metro Water sources said that the work of carrying out the shifting of 750 mm diameter Trunk Main-VII is proposed to be undertaken for 24 hours from 9am on February 29 (Wednesday) till 9am on March 1 (Thursday).A release regarding this said that people can contact the area engineer in Anna Nagar (7845061905) and area engineer in Teynampet (7845061907) for arranging water supply through lorries if the water connections are hit.
