Summer vacations are one of the happiest times for a child. During these holidays, students travel with their parents, spend time with their grandparents, work on their projects and have a good time. To be honest, every student feels sad after the vacations come to an end because as soon as school commences, they will have to go back to the mundane routine. Realising this feeling, a school in Mysuru went to extra lengths to give students a warm welcome to the school and made it exciting for them. Schools are reopening after summer breaks. One school in particular has won the hearts of the students after it celebrated the first day of school in a unique manner. To ensure students don’t feel the holiday blues, JSS High School, Saraswathipuram in Mysuru welcomed students with flowers and sweets, much to their happiness and excitement.
To make the day extra special, the classrooms were decked up with various trinkets and decorations. The nursery students too were welcomed who had just joined the school. The students were all lined up and made to sit down as they were offered milk right on the very first day, leaving them content and happy. As a part of the Ksheera Bhagya scheme, the children were hydrating milk for its nutritional value and ensuring that they are able to consume the vital nutrients.
In addition to this, textbooks were also distributed to the students. Children had wide grins on their faces as soon as they set foot on the school premises. Students, staff and teachers all gathered in the open area of the school to make the students comfortable. While a few students were dressed in uniforms, others wore informal dress on the first day of the school.
