PM Modi Watches Ram Lalla’s Surya Tilak Mid-Air

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Assam, watched Ram Lalla idol’s ‘Surya Tilak’ in Ayodha mid-air on his tablet on Wednesday.

The emotional PM watched Ram Lalla’s ‘Surya Tilak’ with teary eyes while returning from Assam’s Nalbari after addressing a poll rally and sharing his experience, he took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), saying, “This is a very emotional moment for me”.

“After my Nalbari rally, I watched the Surya Tilak on Ram Lalla. Like crores of Indians, this is a very emotional moment for me. The grand Ram Navami in Ayodhya is historic. May this Surya Tilak bring energy to our lives and may it inspire our nation to scale new heights of glory,” he wrote on X.

Earlier in the day the PM mentioned Ram Lalla’s ‘Surya Tilak’ during his public rally address in Assam’s Nalbari.

He said, “Today is also the historical occasion of Ram Navami. After a wait of 500 years, Lord Ram has finally been seated in his grand temple and in just a few minutes from now, his birth anniversary will be celebrated in the Ram temple in the holy city of Ayodhya by applying ‘Surya Tilak’ to Lord Ram.”

The much-awaited ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony of Ram Lalla’s idol was held in the ‘garbh griha’ (sanctum sanctorum) of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on Wednesday on the occasion of Ram Navami celebrations at the temple.

The ceremony was scheduled to take place from 12:16 pm to 12:21 pm when rays of the sun symbolically marked the forehead of Ram Lalla’s idol. The celebrations mark the first big religious occasion after the consecration of Ram Lalla in January this year.
