NTPC Raipur Recruitment 2017 notification has been released on the official website of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) that aims to fill 69 vacancies for the posts of ITI Trainees, Assistant Trainees and Lab Assistant Trainees. Candidates who are eligible to apply can submit their application forms on or before 31st December 2017 on the official careers website of NTPC - http://ntpccareers.net/.
Eligibility Criteria:
ITI passouts, Chemistry graduates and candidates with NCVT certificate in Storekeeping are eligible to apply for the relevant posts. However, as per the job notification, candidates with bachelor degrees from distance mode of education are not eligible to apply for these posts.
Job Location:
This NTPC Raipur Recruitment 2017 notification is for filling positions at NTPC Lara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Selection Process:
NTPC is scheduled to organize a Written and Skill Test to select candidates for the above mentioned posts. The written test is tentatively scheduled for March 2018 and will be held in the cities of Raipur, Bilaspur and Raigarh. Interested candidates can read the official notification here:

Exam Pattern:
The Written Test Paper will comprise of two sections viz:
First, the relevant discipline/trade based 70 questions
Second, 50 questions based on general awareness, quantitative aptitude and reasoning.
The exam paper will be bilingual
Other Opportunities at NTPC?
Earlier, NTPC had also notified recruitment for the Executive Trainees via GATE 2018 exam. NTPC aims to recruit Executive Trainees from Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Mining engineering background. As per its notification in September 2017, the application process for the same will begin in January 2018 and the applicants will be shortlisted for the Online Aptitude Test based on their GATE 2018 score. Furthermore, the candidates who clear the Online Aptitude Test will be eligible to participate in Group Discussion and Personal Interviews, which will be the deciding factors in the final selection of executive trainees.
